Welcome to the G\u00fctegemeinschaft Flachglas e. V.<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>The G\u00fctegemeinschaft Mehrscheiben-Isolierglas (GMI) was founded on 7 May 1982 for the purpose of quality assurance and quality monitoring of insulating glass units (MIG). At the general meeting on 11 April 2018, it was then decided to introduce an additional, new quality mark for heat soak tested toughened safety glass (ESG-HF) and to rename the association to G\u00fctegemeinschaft Flachglas (GGF). Every insulating and safety glass manufacturer who wishes to label its product with these RAL Quality Marks must comply with the quality and test regulations of the GGF.<\/p>\n
“For us, quality is the focus”<\/strong><\/p>\nJochen Gr\u00f6negr\u00e4s, Managing Director of the GGF, briefly summarizes the most important advantages for holders of the MIG or ESG-HF quality marks in the above video. The quality mark immediately shows that the product meets the high quality requirements according to RAL. MIG or ESG-HF with the RAL Quality Mark give planners and builders the certainty of having acquired a durable quality product \u2013 a product that has been thoroughly tested and meets the highest requirements. The consumer receives with the quality mark a distinctive benchmark that provides the necessary security for their purchasing decision and protects them from unpleasant surprises in the long term. The manufacturer can thereby communicate to the consumer in the simplest way: “For us, quality is the focus.”<\/p>\n

The members of G\u00fctegemeinschaft Flachglas e. V. form a strong community. As a recognized platform for all questions of product quality and serviceability, we set quality standards. We take care of all quality issues concerning insulating glass and its preliminary products and also create the conditions for ESG to continue to be used in buildings without restriction. Our quality committees are elected by the general meeting and are responsible for the neutral external monitoring by the institutes. Together with the competently staffed office, they monitor the requirements for the use of quality marks. In addition, we work together with other quality associations around the window \u2013 for a continuous quality chain!<\/p>\n<\/div>
